Student Biography

Matthew Coholich
Construction Option

Matthew Coholich is in his 5th year studying Architectural Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. In May 2016 he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering in the Construction Management Option.

 

After his junior year (Summer 2014), Matt joined A. Martini & Co. in Verona, Pennsylvania.  He coordinated with the Owner, Architect, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and suppliers on three projects while working directly with the Project Manager.  He posted and maintained contract drawings while writing up RFI’s, change orders, change requests, and subcontractor’s contracts.  He also revised filed submittals and created schedules using primavera.

After his senior year (Summer 2015), Matt was fortunate to obtain an internship with M. A. Mortenson Company for their National Projects Group in State College.  There he worked on the IM Building and Penn State Lasch Football Building.  He assisted the Project Manager, Senior Quality Manager, and Superintendent while coordinating with the Architect and subcontractors.  He also prepared, posted and maintained contract drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and CCD’s.  Matt also had the responsibility of reviewing and submitting RFI’s and submittals in there program called Unifier.

 

Currently, Matt is continuing to focus on his coursework and future career.  He was honored to receive Dean’s List in the Fall 2014 semester.  Furthermore, he has been an active in the Student Society of Architectural Engineers and was also a member of the Italian Student Society.
